Andy Berg

I am the owner and operator of Midwest Trees. I’ve been in the industry for 16 years and beyond passionate about trees and arboriculture. I plan to keep the company small as I scale over time so that I can focus on high quality and customer service. If there’s something I can’t do, I know the right person for the job and I’m not afraid to direct work away.

My formal education is in traditional forestry, graduating with a forestry degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2009. I worked in traditional forestry for 2 years before moving to the St. Louis area to pursue my career in arboriculture and urban forestry. My journey has taken me through a lot of different companies and experiences which has only strengthened my knowledge and skillset in this industry. I’ve developed my own standards, preferences, and know what I excel in, which is why I decided to take the leap and start Midwest Trees.

I am an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist (IL-5361B), ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified, Administrator for the Missouri Community Forestry Council, Immediate Past President of the Midwestern Chapter of ISA, member of the ISA Board Certified Master Arborist Exam Committee (as a subject matter expert), I have pesticide licenses in both Illinois and Missouri, and carry out numerous trainings for the local industry.
